The new year, the new day and the new beginning….

Today is 1st Jan 2010 - the new year day. I sometimes think that how come one day is so different from the other. Everyday the nature behaves the same way. But somehow we classify some days very differently. Be it our birthday, our anniversary, special holidays, or any other special occasion. The very nature of the day makes it so special, even though we all know that everything in the world has remained same. Even on the most special day of ours, the sun continues to rise from the east.

All of us spend our special days in our own special way. Today morning, when I got up - I had a sense of belonging to a different era. This is the beginning of a new decade - a new life, a new hope, and a lots of things which is new. We dont know what lies ahead of us. But one thing is for sure - we can go as far as we can see, and once we reach there, we can see further ahead. Thats how life is - in simple terms. We may classify life in our own way, but the fact remains that every day of our life is new. Its new for every soul turned human on this planet.

Dont you think it will be great if we can spend each day of of our life, the way we celebrate the first of January every year. First of January is a symbol of  a new beginning. The hope, the beauty it carries is something which is very enthusing. It seems we want to to leave and forget all the bad experiences of the last year, and start things afresh, with plentitude of hope and enthusiasm.

This year - we all should take a pledge that we will live each day as if it were the first day of the year. We should spend each day, in fact each moment of each day, of our life as if there is no tomorrow, and as if we are living only for the moment. Imagine the state of mind - no burden of the past and no worries of the future. It reminds me of the Nike’s slogan - “just do it”. The best is then ought to happen. Every day should be spent as a gift from God - where in we should make it count. This does not mean that we should only work. When I say we should make every moment count, I basically mean that we should spend each moment in bliss - we should enjoy every moment to the core, to feel bliss and ecstasy in the smallest of task, to smell the roses - even though we may be running. We should try to free those mental knots of all those things which has been holding us back. We should make an attempt in living a life which is worth living, to make a difference to the lives of million others, to touch the hearts of the needy, to mend ways for the disgruntled, to make hay even when the sun is not shining. Times ahead may be tough, but its our belief and faith that is going to take us beyond the fringes of the daily routine.

Here I take this opportunity to wish all my blog readers a very blissful and happy new year 2010. I am sure we will do great wonders this year in all the fields, after all, all the magic is within us and with us. We can live new year day everyday in every day of this year.
